Medical Imaging Training :
Develop Your Expertise with PixiLearn

PixiLearn supports medical imaging professionals throughout their careers. Our programs are available as initial training for the main medical imaging healthcare professions: radiologists, nuclear medicine physicians, radiation therapists, pathologists, medical physicists, electroradiology technologists, radiopharmacists, and more.

PixiLearn’s mission is to create the conditions for effective training and to make expertise developed worldwide accessible, in order to improve practices across the entire discipline. PixiLearn aims to be a catalyst for knowledge and know-how in medical imaging.

Why is Medical Imaging Training Essential Today ?

Adapting to Clinical Evolutions

Medicine is evolving: diagnostic sequences are changing, therapies are advancing, and prognoses are improving. We are living in a remarkable era with major therapeutic innovations in medicine.

As medicine evolves, the expectations of clinical physicians also evolve. As medical imaging specialists, we must follow and adapt to these changes and to their expectations. Our training courses aim to help you update your knowledge and keep pace with these developments. We recruit experts in various specialties: tumor imaging, musculoskeletal, cardiology, neurology, and more.

These experts design training programs that allow…

you to keep your knowledge up to date and evolve your practice to meet the needs of both clinicians and patients. We also involve clinical physicians in our training to facilitate exchanges regarding their expectations of medical imaging and to strengthen the cooperation between imaging physicians and clinical physicians.

Adapting to Constant Technological Evolutions

(AI, New Equipment, New Tracers, etc.)

Our imaging specialties are technological fields undergoing constant evolution. Our practices must be able to adapt to seize relevant developments and make them accessible to our patients.

Our training also includes this necessity: keeping the community updated on technological innovations, passing on experience between teams, sharing practices, and accelerating the diffusion of innovation for the benefit of our patients. Through our training, we believe we can accelerate the implementation of innovations in medical imaging thanks to better-trained and more proactive physicians ready to embrace the innovations that will benefit patient care.

Guaranteeing Patient Safety and Radiation Protection

As imaging physicians, we also have a responsibility for patient safety during the performance of their examinations. Patient preparation and the management of high-risk cases (pregnancy, allergic risks, etc.) are all situations where caregivers must secure the patient’s journey during their imaging.

The optimization of practices notably acquisition protocols to deliver accurate, relevant information with the most reasonably reduced dose is among the imperatives for medical imaging professionals.

These aspects are also taken into account in our training offer, allowing us to contribute to making medical imaging practices safer.

Our Pedagogical Approach to Medical Imaging Training

Alliance de la théorie et de la pratique clinique en imagerie médicale

The Alliance of Theory and Clinical Practice

Our training courses are designed to combine theoretical knowledge and learning through practice; this is the DNA of Pixilib and its PixiLearn training platform. For too long, we have seen static medical imaging training projecting screenshots in slideshows. It is time to change habits and integrate real training that combines scientific knowledge and learning through practice using real interactive clinical cases.

Interactive Tools: Virtual Classrooms and Integrated Imaging Viewer

We have integrated all pedagogical tools into a single platform: PixiLearn. Our viewer allows for the exploration of a medical image in its entirety—not excerpts, captures, or key images. We want true training through practice: autonomous reflection time on real images as if you were working in your hospital. Following this reflection, an expert will discuss the case with you. This direct relationship with the expert during practical case training turns them into a mentor capable of helping you improve your practice.

The Expertise of Specialized Clinicians

We recruit the most talented experts who are the most passionate about teaching. Pixilib works remotely, which makes specialized expertise accessible to the greatest number of people without geographic limits. We love experts who work with passion—the passion to transmit their knowledge and promote better medicine for our patients.

Funding and Regulatory Framework (DPC, OPCO, etc.)

PixiLearn training courses are subject to a clear regulatory framework and may be eligible for appropriate funding schemes (DPC, OPCO), depending on your professional status.

PixiLearn is registered with the ANDPC for continuous medical imaging training actions. Training programs that have obtained ANDPC approval are announced in our catalog; these programs are valid for the continuous training path of the relevant healthcare professionals and are also visible directly on the ANDPC website.

This approval is obtained by Pixilib on a course-by-course basis after an examination of the creator’s expertise and the pedagogical program. However, not all training is “DPC.” Courses without this recognition simply cover subjects that the ANDPC does not judge as a priority for healthcare professional training. You can, of course, enroll voluntarily if a course meets your personal expectations; it will not be funded by the ANDPC but may still be funded by the OPCO if you are an employee (see below).

The training funding system in France has different structures depending on your status.

If you are a contracted self-employed healthcare professional or an employee of a contracted private healthcare center, your training may benefit from ANDPC funding for DPC-eligible courses. Within this framework, you benefit each year from an hourly “drawdown right” to be allocated to the qualifying training of your choice. Each hour of training you use in this context allows you to benefit from pedagogical fee coverage to fund the training organization and an hourly compensation for the time dedicated to your training. Pixilib strives to align with the fee schedule eligible for pedagogical cost coverage to offer training with no remaining out-of-pocket costs.

If you want to validate DPC coverage, you must have your registration validated on your ANDPC account before the start of the training (see procedures on your ANDPC account).

If you are a civil servant or an employee of a non-contracted training center, your training may be covered by the OPCO within the limit of the funding allocated to your company (each OPCO publishes its own rules). Pixilib is Qualiopi certified; this certification thus allows for the funding of your training by the OPCO.

Finally, you can also self-fund. The training you follow is usually contracted in the name of the company through which you practice and should constitute a deductible expense for your accounting.

A final point: at Pixilib, we make it a point not to exclude anyone from our training. Personnel currently in training (medical residents, etc.) benefit from a (greatly) reduced price. We know this is a time when training needs are high while funding capacity is still low; it is natural for us to take this specificity into account.
